Jim Berrong has been in your shoes. Many times in fact. During his pre-real estate agent days, when he worked as a design-build architect and as marketing director for a national commercial building corporation, he was transferred five times and moved seven – to four cities in four states! So he appreciates the emotional and physical upheaval that moving can trigger. After working with agents that ranged from stellar to less-than-helpful, Jim decided there was great need for more of the former. And so began his real estate career.
After settling in Dallas in 1986, the Milwaukee native came to love his new hometown’s variety of diverse neighborhoods, vibrant communities with high quality of life and high energy/can-do attitude.
What Jim enjoys most about this profession is helping buyers see what they can do with the house to make it "theirs," helping sellers stage their houses to the point they fall in love with it again and helping both negotiate offers to get as many of their preferred terms as possible. Clients say he makes a complex and potentially stressful process as smooth and enjoyable as possible, educating them and guiding them along the way.
Jim graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from Miami University (Ohio), and Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He currently lives with his tuxedo cat, Al (short for Alien), and when he’s not working, he’s involved in his spiritual community and travels with them around the globe as often as possible.
